Main Outputs

The DDA CS8 is configured with LCR (or SIS) outputs. This provides an additional centre (mono) output such that when panning from hard left to hard right the sound moves from left, left centre, centre, right centre, right. When the pan pot is central the sound is directed to the centre speakers only. This setup is most useful when flying centre speakers, however we don't have any! So we won't use LCR mode. It is possible however to treat the centre mono feed like an additional group output, and we will use this as the master for the fills.

Group Assignments

The desk has 8 groups, these are assigned as follows:

Group

Description
1 L Band submix left
2 R Band submix right
3 L/R/M Floats - insert point 32 channel graphic + sabine
4 L/R/M On set floats - insert point 32 channel graphic
5 Direct Direct feed to front stage foldback left
6 Direct Direct feed to front stage foldback right
7 Direct Direct feed to rear stage foldback left via 15 channel graphic
8 Direct Direct feed to rear stage foldback right via 15 channel graphic

Stereo Inputs

The CS8 has 2 stereo returns above group 7 & 8 faders. These will be used to re-route aux's 5 & 6 to groups 5,6 and 7&8. This provides mono band foldback to the stage at both stage front and stage rear, and yet allows the SFX to be run in stereo (if necessary).
